We hope you’ll join us for this fall series, which will kick off on September 8th!Â
These live, small-group sessions will offer opportunities to workshop real-world challenges with the support of Bold & Safe program coaches and other colleagues around the state. Each session will be held twice per week to accommodate schedules (colleagues from the same organization are encouraged to attend—after all, compliance is a team sport!).Â
Registration is FREE and will remain open until each session begins—but please register early, as we like to know who’s coming.

How can a multi-entity organization navigate California’s complex campaign finance rules while executing bold and compliant advocacy, organizing, and electoral election-year work? This training provides a California-tailored roadmap for making strategic decisions as you plan your efforts this fall. How will you decide whether to engage in candidate races, ballot measures, or GOTV? Conduct coordinated work vs Independent Expenditures? Which entity pays for what, and how can you keep your 501(c)(3) protected through it all? Understanding the compliance implications of key decision points will go a long way towards informing an overall strategy that is both impactful and feasible. If you want to balance the dreams of your programmatic team with the realities of your operational capacity, join NLA/TCS for this conversation. |

Are you working to support or oppose ballot measures in California this year? Are you confused about whether certain activities are lobbying, public education, or electioneering? This small-group training will help answer these and other questions that multi-entity organizations in California should consider when engaging in ballot measures, voter registration, and voter education Because these activities are often allowable from multiple types of legal entities, organizations must make strategic decisions about where to house them. There are pros and cons—and compliance obligations—to each approach. If you are considering these activities and wondering if/how/when you might trigger reporting requirements or create legal risk, join NLA/TCS for this discussion. |
